The Canisius College men's soccer team looks to wrap up its non-conference season strong, hosting a pair of games at the Demske Sports Complex. The Griffs, who are 5-1-2 on the season, host local rival St. Bonaventure on Friday at 7 p.m. and St. Francis (Pa.) on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

• Thanks to the team's strong start to the 2012 campaign, the Griffs are listed in a number of rankings - both team and individual.
• The highlight for the week is the team's No. 3 ranking in the NSCAA North Atlantic Region poll.
• As a team, Canisius also leads the MAAC in scoring offense (2.12 goals per game), assists (12), points (46) and shots per game (17.88). Nationally, the Griffs are 13th with 17 goals and 15th with its 46 points.
• Senior forward Gavin Falconer also ranks among the nation's best. Falconer is tied for the Division I lead with seven goals and ranks third with 17 points.
• Falconer also ranks first in the MAAC in points, points per game, goals, assists and game-winning tallies. He is tied for the conference lead in assists (three) with teammate Denver Spearman.

• Senior Gavin Falconer ranks among the nation's best thanks to a strong run to start the season.
• Falconer has netted a goal in three-straight contests, becoming the first Griff to accomplish the feat since Alan McGreal in 2007.
• The Waterford, Ireland native has also posted a point in the last six contests, matching the program's standard. Gianfranco Gallo also posted the longest-recorded streak of six games during the 1987 campaign.

• The Griffs are looking to put an exclamation point on their successful non-conference season.
• The Griffs are currently 5-1-2 against non-league foes. It marks the most non-conference wins in program history since Canisius first joined the MAAC in 1989.
• The previous standard was four non-conference wins, set on four occasions (1994, 1995, 1999 and 2008).

• The Griffs and Bonnies are meeting for the 44th time, making St. Bonaventure the second-most frequented opponent on the Griffs' schedule (Canisius has played Niagara 52 times).
• St. Bonaventure holds a 25-11-7 all-time advantage against the Griffs.
• Last season, Canisius defeated the Bonnies for the first time in Olean, earning a 2-1 victory. Gavin Falconer and Sam Zarka each netted a goal in the win.
• Canisius is 8-7-3 all-time against St. Bonaventure in Buffalo.

• After six-straight losses to start the season, St. Bonaventure won its first game of the 2012 campaign on Sunday against St. Francis, 1-0.
• The Bonnies have been outscored 25-4 this season.
• Brad Beumont, Garrett Pasono and Adam Scott have all netted a goal for St. Bonaventure this season.
• Ben Cowman and Bobby Diaz have seen a majority of time in goal for the Bonnies. Cowman owns a 4.00 goals against average and .556 save percentage, while Diaz has posted a 4.33 goals against average and .458 save percentage.
• Abel Bautista started his first game in goal in Sunday's win against the Red Flash, stopping three shots in the shutout.

• In 12 all-time meetings between the two schools, St. Francis owns a 9-3-0 advantage against the Griffs.
• The teams met for the first time in six years last season with the Red Flash taking a 3-0 victory in Loretta, Pa.
• Canisius last defeated St. Francis during the 2001 campaign, winning 2-1 in the season opener.

• St. Francis enters the weekend with a 2-2-2 record, having lost its last two contests.
• The Red Flash has played low-scoring contests this season, scoring only three goals on the offensive end but allowing only three scores as well.
• Daniel Valcicak has played every minute in goal for the Red Flash, posting a 0.46 goals against average and .912 save percentage.
• Nick Kolarac has netted two of the team's three tallies this season.
