Fahey Fires a 71 on Day Two of Fireline Event

Fahey is tied for 36th in the field with his two-round score of 150 to lead all Canisius players. Senior Stephen Seeler and junior Mike Spiotta each shot a four-over par score of 76 on Saturday and the teammates are tied for 91st overall with a 36-hole total of 157. Junior Michael Carrig is also tied for 91st in the field.
As a team, Canisius sits in 20th place with a two-day score of 614, three strokes behind Colgate and four strokes behind 18th-place Cornell. Seton Hall recorded a team tally of 284 in the second round and the Pirates lead the team event with 578 strokes, which is two-over par. Penn State's Anthony DeGol leads the field with his score of 139, which is five-under par through 36 holes.
Fahey and his Canisius teammates went off the 10th tee in the second round, and he went out in 38. The rookie got rolling on the back nine thanks to an eagle on the par-five first hole and then wrapped up his round with birdies at the par-3 No. 7 and the par-four ninth.
The Griffs will wrap up their stay in Maryland on Sunday when the team takes part in the third and final round of the Fireline Invitational. Tee times will start at 8 a.m.
