Volleyball drops three-straight games at Manhattan

The Canisius College Volleyball team dropped their fourth straight match on Saturday with a loss at conference rival Manhattan. The Griffs fell to the host Lady Jaspers 20-30, 21-30, 27-30. Canisius is now 3-15 overall, 1-5 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Manhattan moves to 10-14 overall, 4-2 in the MAAC.

Canisius was led by the freshmen duo of Kim Hoffman (Babylon, N.Y.) and Christina Wildes (Long Beach, N.Y.) Hoffman led the way offensively with 13 kills, while adding a game-high 11 digs. She also had the team's lone service ace. Wildes was credited with 11 kills and nine digs.

Manhattan had three players in double-digit kills, led by Kim Frederick's game high 18. Amy O'Dorisio had 16 kills in the winning effort.

The Golden Griffins will be back in action on Nov. 4 when the team travels to Jersey City, N.J. to face St. Peter's College at 11 a.m.
