Volleyball falls to Towson in four games

The Canisius College volleyball team dropped to 1-5 on the season with a 3-1 loss to Towson University in Game Three of the CSU Invitational held in Cleveland, Ohio. The Golden Griffins fell to the Tigers by scores of 28-30, 30-26, 15-30 and 23-30.


The Griffs were once again led by outside hitter Christina Wildes (Long Beach, NY). The freshman collected a team-high 13 kills, while adding nine digs to the effort. Sophomore Nicole Lucie (Lancaster, NY) was credited with eight kills and a team-high 12 digs, while freshman Kim Hoffman (West Babylon, NY) had seven kills and five digs.

Towson University advances to 5-0 with the win over Canisius. The Griffs will be back in action on Saturday when they face-off with the host Vikings of Cleveland State at noon and then square off with Oakland (MI) University at 5 p.m.
