Manhattan Shuts Down Volleyball 3-0

Manhattan College combined for 13 service aces, and Amy O’Dorisio tallied 10 kills and 19 digs to lead the Lady Jaspers to a 3-0 (30-18, 30-23, 30-25) Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Canisius Saturday afternoon in the Koessler Athletic Center.

Bridget Geddes posted five service aces and 23 assists, while Goedele Van Cauteren had eight kills and 11 digs. Lauren Belcher added nine kills.


Leigh Launhardt led Canisius with five kills as the Griffs hit .000 for the match. Christina Wildes posted 13 digs, and Kelly Sieber was credited with 10. Jennifer DeBee and Kim Hoffman each recorded four kills.

Manhattan improves to 25-2 overall and a league-best 7-1 in the conference, while Canisius drops to 8-18 overall and 4-4 in the MAAC.

The Griffs will play their final match of the regular season Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Koessler Center as Canisius hosts Saint Peter’s.

Game time is set for 11 a.m., and Canisius will honor its seniors before the match.
