Canisius junior Christina Wildes posted a double-double with 20 kills and a career-high 23 digs, but it was not enough to help the Golden Griffins as the team lost to Princeton 3-1 (30-22,22-30,29-31,28-30) Friday night at the Colgate Tournament in Hamilton, N.Y. The loss drops Canisius to 4-8 overall, while Princeton improves to 2-2 in 2003.

Canisius had four players post double digit kills in the loss, led by Wildes' season best 20 kills. Freshman Mary Boller had a career-high 13 kills and added four block assists, while sophomore Leigh Launhardt pounded 11 kills. Junior Kim Hoffman had 10 kills and 20 digs for the Blue and Gold.

Senior setter Jackie Reed was credited with 56 assists and seven digs in the losing effort, while fellow senior Nicole Lucie posted 11 digs and three kills.

Princeton's Lauren Grumet had a match-high 21 kills and 14 digs for the Tigers, while teammates Kellie Cramm and Alex Brown each had 14 kills apiece.

The Griffs will return to action Sept. 20, against La Salle and Colgate in the final day of the Colgate Tournament.
