Sunday, November 4, 2007 -- 2 p.m.
Canisius vs. Marist (10-16, 6-8)

A look at the Griffs
  • Canisius returns home after splitting its games last weekend. The Griffs have won six of their last eight matches at home this season.
  • Freshman Michella Domo (Vancouver, B.C.) leads the team in attack percentage (.328), which is the highest percentage by a freshman in the MAAC and currently stands as the second-best by any Canisius player in program history.
  • Jess Stackhouse (Warsaw, N.Y.) is second in the conference and 20th in the country in digs per game (5.58).
  • Canisius is first in the conference in blocks per game (2.29), led by Domo's per game average of 1.02.

    Honoring the Seniors
  • Prior to Sunday's match, the team will honor its two seniors -- Stackhouse and setter Lauren Lackovich (Bloomington, Ill.).
  • Lackovich ranks second in program history in assists (2,535) and has two of the top eight single-season assist totals in program history.
  • Lackovich is the only player in program history to reach 1,000 assists in a season as a freshman.
  • Stackhouse is the program's leader in career digs (2,002) and digs per game (4.98).
  • The libero owns four of the top eight single-season dig totals in program history. Stackhouse set the mark as a junior with 621 and needs 94 in her last four matches to break her own record.
  • Stackhouse is one of two players in league history to be named the Defensive Player of the Year twice. She's won 10 MAAC Defensive Player of the Week awards and was named the Canisius College Female Athlete of the Year in 2007.

Stackhouse in the Record Book Again
  • Throughout her career, Stackhouse has achieved a number of honors, but last weekend at Rider, the senior became the first player in conference history to reach the 2,000-dig mark for her career.
  • Entering this season, 24 players in NCAA history had reached the 2,000-dig mark.
  • Stackhouse also is averaging 4.98 digs per game for her career. Entering the year, 10 players in NCAA history have averaged 5.00 digs per game for their career.
  • Last week, Stackhouse averaged 8.29 digs per game and was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive week.

    Siena Scout
  • The Saints enter the weekend as one of two teams (Fairfield) in the league with only one conference loss. Siena suffered that loss last weekend in a five-game match at Fairfield.
  • Siena is hitting a league-best .279 on the season and has four players in the top 10 in the league in attack percentage, led by Burgandy McCurty (.440).
  • Nadiege Honore is first in the MAAC in kills per game (4.24) while April London is first in assists (12.83).
  • Siena also leads the conference in service aces per game (2.45).
  • The Saints have won the last two MAAC Championships.
  • Siena defeated Canisius in four games earlier this season in Loudonville, N.Y. and has won the last five meetings between the schools.

    Marist Scout
  • The Red Foxes enter the weekend in sixth place in the MAAC, one match behind the Golden Griffins.
  • Marist ranks third in the league in attack percentage but 10th in opponents' attack percentage.
  • Freshman Allie Burke is hitting a team-best .279 while sophomore Alexandra Schultze is second in the conference averaging 4.13 kills per game.
  • Canisius has won the last three matches between the schools.
  • Canisius defeated Marist earlier this season in four games led by 18 kills from Domo.
