Saint Peter's Ends Volleyball's Winning Streak

Three Saint Peter's players posted double-digit kills to lead the host Peahens to a 3-0 (30-23,30-24,30-24) win over Canisius Saturday afternoon in Jersey City, N.J. The loss snaps the Griffs' four-match winning streak and drops the team to 10-10 overall and 0-1 in MAAC play, while Saint Peter's improves to 2-19 overall and 1-1 in the MAAC.

Junior Christina Wildes led the way with 11 kills and 11 digs, while Kim Hoffman posted eight kills and a team-high 13 kills. Senior setter Jackie Reed posted 26 assists and three service aces in the losing effort.

Tzvetomila Dotcheva had a match-high 16 for Saint Peter's, while Serra Soylu added 13 kills, 10 digs, and four service aces.

The Blue and Gold will return to action Oct. 12, at Manhattan. Game time is set for 11 a.m.
