Canisius sophomore Lindsay Garbacz was named to the 2004 Western New York Invitational All-Tournament Team, which was selected by the participating coaches.
Garbacz played in all 10 Canisius games and posted 11 kills, five assists, 33 digs and a service ace in her first volleyball action in two years. Garbacz joined the Golden Griffins during preseason workouts after not playing volleyball last season. One of the school's few two-sport athletes, Garbacz is also a pitcher on the school's softball team.
Canisius is 0-3 after dropping two matches on Saturday in the final day of the season opening tournament. The Griffs will return to action Wednesday, Sept. 8, at cross-town rival Buffalo.
