The Matchup
  • Canisius enters the weekend having won three of its last four MAAC matches and 11 of 14 conference matches dating back to late in the 2005 season.
  • Last weekend, the Griffs defeated Marist in four games and fell to defending league champion Siena in four.
  • Freshman Michella Domo (Vancouver, B.C.) set a career high with 18 kills in the win over the Red Foxes.
  • Sophomore Michelle Godfrey (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) hit .538 in the loss to the Saints, which is the second highest of her career.
  • Canisius assistant coach Rocco Lucci was the head coach at Niagara for eight seasons and was the 2005 MAAC Coach of the Year.
  • Friday's contest will serve as the Athletes for Athletes match for the volleyball team.
  • Both of this weekend's matches will volleyball will count in the Battle of the Bridge competition. Canisius won the first contest last weekend with the men's soccer team defeating Niagara 3-0.

    Niagara Scout
  • Niagara has dropped five of its last six matches with its two conference wins coming at home over Manhattan and Rider.
  • Raelean Rush leads Niagara in kills per game (3.77) and is second on the squad in digs per game (3.81).
  • The Purple Eagles are led by first-year coach Susan Clements after serving as the head coach at her alma mater, Georgetown College (Ky.), during the previous two seasons.
