Good Named MAAC Rookie of the Week for Second Time

In two Canisius road victories last weekend, Good led the Canisius offense by averaging 3.44 kills per set. Good had 13 kills and five blocks in the five-set win at Loyola – the fourth time this season Good has had 10 kills and five blocks in a match. The 5-foot-10 middle blocker then had a team-high 18 kills, the fifth time in six matches Good has led the Griffs in kills, to go along with three service aces and seven digs – both career highs – in the win at Rider.
Good leads the team at 2.68 kills per set on the season. In the team’s six MAAC matches, Good leads the team and ranks eighth in MAAC at 3.61 kills per set and is fourth in the league in hitting percentage at .297 (leading MAAC freshmen in both categories).
Canisius, sitting at 8-10 overall, 5-3 in the MAAC and in a tie for third place in the conference standings, have three home matches in four days at the Koessler Athletic Center this week. The homestand starts on Thursday, when the Golden Griffins host Niagara, with match time set for 6 p.m.
