Due to the winter storm affecting the Southeast region as well as travel across the country, the Canisius baseball team will not be playing at the USA Baseball Complex this weekend in Cary, N.C. The Golden Griffins have adjusted their schedule to play a three-game series at No. 5 North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C.

The series will take place on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with game times to be determined.

Canisius will face a team coming off an appearance in the College World Series for the first time in program history. The Golden Griffins are playing a team in the Atlantic Coast Conference for the first time since splitting a four-game series at Duke during the 2012 season.

Canisius was picked to finish first in the MAAC preseason coaches poll. The Golden Griffins won a conference-record 42 games during the 2013 season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. Canisius played at the Chapel Hill Regional, facing No. 1 seed North Carolina and Florida Atlantic.
