The Canisius College men's basketball returns home tonight to play host to Manhattan in the Koessler Athletic Center. The game will be broadcast live on ESPNU, Canisius' first national TV game since 2010-11, and the evening has been termed a "Gold Rush" with Canisius asking all fans to wear gold in support of the Golden Griffins.

Canisius returns home to start a key two-game homestand tonight when the Golden Griffins play host to Manhattan live on ESPNU.
The Griffs are coming off an 84-58 win at Fairfield Feb. 1. The 26-point win is the largest MAAC road victory in Canisius history.
The Griffs come into this game with a 16-7 overall record and a 10-2 mark in MAAC play. The team is riding a four-game winning streak, the program’s longest winning streak since 2006-07.
The Griffs’ next MAAC win matches the team’s conference win total from last season.
Canisius enters this game 8-0 at home this season. Under second-year head coach Jim Baron, the Griffs are 20-4 in the Koessler Athletic Center.

FAST BREAK POINTS
• Canisius senior Billy Baron scored a team-high 17 points in the win at Fairfield Feb. 1. He comes into tonight’s game ranked fifth in the nation in scoring average at 23.7 points per game.
• Senior forward Chris Manhertz recorded his 12th career double-double in the win at Fairfield Feb. 1 when he scored 14 points to go with 10 rebounds. He is averaging 8.4 boards per game in the team’s last five contests.
• Canisius redshirt sophomore Dominique Raney came off the bench and scored 15 points in the win at Fairfield Feb. 1. He is averaging 12 points per game in the team’s last two contests.

ABOUT THE JASPERS
• Manhattan comes into tonight’s game with an overall record of 15-6 and an 8-4 mark in MAAC games.
• The Jaspers are led by senior George Beamon, who averages 18.5 points per game. He ranks third in the MAAC in scoring average and he’s also good for a team-best 7.1 rebounds per game, which ranks sixth in the league.
• Manhattan senior Rhamel Brown is chipping in 9.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game. Brown currently leads the MAAC and ranks fifth in the nation in blocks per contest.
• Senior Michael Alvarado ranks second on the team with his 13.7 points per game, and he ranks third in the conference with his 4.3 assists per outing. Alvarado and Beamon have combined to make 226 of the Jaspers’ 477 free-throws this year (50.6 percent).
• As a team, Manhattan ranks fourth in the MAAC in points per game with 77.2 per contest. In 12 MAAC games, the Jaspers are averaging 75.9 points per contest.
• Manhattan ranks second in the nation in road wins this season with eight victories away from Draddy Gymnasium.

CANISIUS - MANHATTAN SERIES
• Tonight’s meeting between Canisius and Manhattan is the 83rd contest between these two schools, with the Jaspers holding a 49-33 lead in the all-time series.
• The Griffs and the Jaspers split the regular-season series in 2012-13, with each team winning on its home floor.
• All-time, the series is tied at 26-26 in games played in Buffalo. Tonight’s game will be the 18th time these teams have played in the Koessler Center, where Manhattan leads the series 10-7.
