A total of eight Canisius College spring sporting events will be shown on Time Warner SportsNet, the athletic department announced today. The first televised event will be the Canisius men's lacrosse game against new MAAC Lacrosse League member Jacksonville on Saturday, March 19.
Five of the nine televised games on the spring schedule will feature the Canisius men's lacrosse team, starting with Saturday's MAAC Lacrosse League opener. The Griffs' road game at Hobart on March 22, will be shown live on Time Warner SportsNet throughout New York State, as will the Blue and Gold's home game against MAAC-rival Marist, which is scheduled for Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m., at the Demske Sports Complex.
The Canisius women's lacrosse program will be on TV on Sunday, April 3, when the team hosts Iona at 11 a.m. The Canisius baseball team's road game at cross-town rival Buffalo April 6, will also be televised, as will the men's lacrosse home date with Robert Morris on April 13. All of those games are going to be shown on a tape-delay basis.The softball team's single-game, non-conference meeting at Buffalo April 20, will be shown on Time Warner SportsNet and the men's lacrosse team's home finale Saturday, April 23, will also be a TV game. Both of those contests will either be shown live or on tape-delay, with a final decision to be made by Time Warner at a later date.
