Canisius College senior midfielder Maria Kotas was named an ECAC Second Team All-Star, the organization announced on Friday.

Kotas, the 2014 MAAC Midfielder of the year, was the only player from the league to make the team.

The Lancaster, N.Y. native set the Canisius single-season points record with 81 this season en route to leading Canisius to its fourth-straight MAAC Championship. Kotas earned Tournament MVP honors for the second time and became the first player in MAAC women’s lacrosse history to be named to the All-Tournament Team four times.

The senior was previously named to IWLCA All-West/Midwest First Team this month, becoming the first player in program history to receive the honor.

Kotas will participate in the IWLCA DeBeer North/South Senior All-Star Game on July 7, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
