• The Griffs have won the last two conference championships, taking the 2011 title over Fairfield, 13-8, and winning the 2012 crown also against Fairfield, 15-11.
• Canisius became the fourth team to win consecutive MAAC championships last season, joining Le Moyne (2002-03 and 2006-07) and Manhattan (2004-05).

REVISITING THE LAST TWO MAAC TOURNAMENTS
• Canisius won its first two conference titles in the past two seasons, posting victories over each of the three schools at the 2013 tournament along the way.

• Current Griff Maria Kotas was also named to the All-Tournament Team in each of the last two seasons, while Lindsey Morgan also earned the accolade in 2012.

• The Griffs own a 10-6 edge in the all-time series with Friday’s opponent, Siena.
• Canisius has won the last seven games in the series dating back to the 2008 season.
• The Griffs won the only postseason meeting, taking an 11-9 contest in the 2011 semifinals en route to the team’s first title.
• The Canisius defense led the Griffs to a 13-3 win earlier this season against the Saints. Canisius held Siena to just 12 shots, while forcing 20 turnovers in the win.

• In a series that dates back to 1999, Fairfield holds a 12-6 advantage against Canisius.
• The Griffs, however, have won three of the last four meetings between the two schools.
