Going for Four
Last season, Canisius made history as it became the first women’s lacrosse team to win three-straight MAAC Championships.

• Canisius took the 2011 title over Fairfield, 13-8. The Griffs defeated Fairfield again in 2012, winning 15-11. The Griffs completed the three-peat over Marist in 2013, winning 10-9.

• The Griffs are one-of-four schools in the nation to have won their last three conference titles, joining Maryland (ACC), Massachusetts (Atlantic 10) and Navy (Patriot),
• Senior midfielder Maria Kotas has been named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team each of the last three seasons, including Tournament MVP honors in 2013.
• Junior midfielder Meghan Cuddy and sophomore midfielders Ashley Bull and Brenna Murray were also named to the All-Tournament Team in 2012.

Scouting the Griffs
• Canisius enters Friday’s contest coming off its first loss in six games after falling to Fairfield 11-9 on senior day just six days ago.
• The loss brought the Griffs’ record to 0-5 when they don’t score 10 or more goals.
• Canisius is 10-1 when they reach double-digits on the scoreboard.

Offense vs. Defense
• Friday’s battle will be of the league’s top offense in Canisius and the MAAC’s best defense in Fairfield.
• The Griffs boast their best offense in program history with 13.94 goals per game this season.
• Fairfield enters the contest allowing just 7.06 goals per game.

Scouting the Stags
• Fairfield won a share of the MAAC’s regular season championship with a 7-1 record in league play.
• Farfield is led offensively by Melanie Raso, who has amassed 52 points thus far.
• Chelsey Sidaras has started every game in net for the Stags and is allowing just 6.93 goals per game. She boasts a .471 save percentage with 96 saves on the year.

Series History
• This will be the 20th meeting between the two programs.
• Fairfield leads the all-time series with a record of 13-6 against Canisius.
• The Griffs and Stags last met just six days ago in the regular season finale, with Fairfield taking the game 11-9 behind a 6-0 run to open the second half.
• Junior midfielder Tori Greco scored a career-high three goals in the game.
