Senior Maura Frauenhofer (Willamsivlle, N.Y) has been named MAAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for her performance at the Duquesne Duals this past Saturday.

Frauenhofer ran to a fifth-place finish among 93 runners in the women's field in Pittsburgh, Pa. This marks the second-consecutive year that Frauenhofer has earned the honor after her performance at the Duquesne Duals meet. Last year she ran to a first-place finish with a time of 18:43 at the event. Frauenhofer improved on her 2009 time as she shaved 17 seconds off this year's finish coming in at 18:26.

The Canisius women took third in the team scoring with four members of the Blue and Gold finishing in the top 25. This is the third time Frauenhofer has earned MAAC Runner of the Week honors in her career. She received the honor twice in 2009 after her performances at the Duquesne Duals and the Monmouth Invitational.
