Senior Maura Frauenhofer earned MAAC Female Cross Country Runner of the Week honors after coming in second place with a time of 21:39 during the 6K Brooks/Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday afternoon.

Frauenhofer has been one of the Golden Griffin's most impressive runners in 2010 as she has been the top finisher for the women's team in three of the team's four races. Frauenhofer finished the Brooks/Paul Short Run with a time of 21:39, which was 36 seconds off the pace of the leader. She helped lead the team to a fourth place finish at Lehigh University, which is a huge improvement from 2008 when they placed 38th.

This honor marks the second time in 2010 the MAAC has honored Frauenhofer for her efforts as she was named MAAC Female Cross Country Runner of the Week on Sept. 7, after her performance at the Duquesne Duals where she placed fifth with a time of 18:26.

Both cross country teams will return to action on Saturday Oct. 16 when they head to Albany, N.Y. to compete at the UAlbany Invitational.
