A pair of Canisius College swimmers were honored for their performances at the University of Rochester Invitational, the MAAC announced on Wednesday.

Freshman Hannah Graesser won the conference's Female Swimmer of the Week award and sophomore Spencer Bray earned MAAC Male Swimmer of the Week.

Graesser set a pair of records at the University of Rochester Invite. She broke her own school-record in the 50-yard freestyle, thanks to a time of 24.09. Graesser finished first in the event. She also took home the top-spot in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.69, which was also good for a school record.

Graesser also was part of three top relay teams that took top-spots at the meet. Graesser helped the Canisius 400-yard medley relay, the 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay teams take first place finishes in the meet.

Bray took home two individual victories at the University of Rochester Invitational. He finished the 200-yard backstroke in 1:56.60, for a first-place finish. He followed that up by taking the top-spot in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:44.70. Bray also had an individual second-place finish in the meet, with a time of 1:46.43 in the 200-yard freestyle.

Bray swam on three relay teams as well. He helped Canisius swim to second place finishes in both the 400- and 800-yard freestyle relays. He also helped the Griffs finish fourth in the 400-yard medley relay.

Graesser, Bray and the Griffs return to action on Saturday when they travel to Geneseo. The meet is scheduled to begin at noon.
