After helping the Canisius College women's lacrosse team to a 2-0 week, both sophomore Tori Quinn and senior Morgan Leonard were honored by the MAAC on Monday. Quinn collected the conference's Offensive Player of the Week award, while Leonard was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Quinn led the Canisius attack to the wins over LIU Brooklyn and Duquesne, totaling 12 points, 10 goals and two assists. In Tuesday's win against the Blackbirds, Quinn set a career high with six points on four goals and two assists. She then duplicated her feat with another six points in Sunday's 11-9 overtime victory against the Dukes, scoring six of the team's 11 tallies, including the game-winning goal in the extra session.

The Orangeville, Ontario native now leads the Griffs with 28 points, 19 goals and nine assists this season. She currently ranks second in the MAAC with 4.00 points per game, second with 2.71 goals per game and third with 1.29 assists per game.

Leonard continues to be one of the top defensive players in the country this season. The senior captain anchored the Griffs back line to the two wins, collecting eight draw controls, seven caused turnovers and six ground balls during the week. Leonard was especially strong in the team's overtime win against Duquesne, leading the Griffs with five caused turnovers, four ground balls and three draw controls. She also added five points and four goals on the offensive end during the week.

The Sykesville, Md. native currently ranks second in the country with 3.29 caused turnovers per game. She also leads the Griffs with 25 ground balls and ranks second on the squad with 19 draw controls. The Preseason MAAC Player of the Year, Leonard has added 19 points, 14 goals and five assists this season.

The weekly accolade is the fourth for Leonard during her career, while Quinn picked up her first career MAAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Quinn, Leonard and the Griffs look to continue their winning ways on Tuesday, hosting Monmouth in non-conference action. First draw at the Demske Sports Complex is scheduled for 4 p.m.
