2014 NCAA Tournament Tickets Go on Sale Oct. 19

Tickets for the 2014 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship Second and Third Rounds, which will be held in First Niagara Center, will go on sale Saturday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. Fans looking to purchase tickets to the First Four, second and third-round games or regional competition should go to

The 2014 championship begins with the First Four, four first-round games taking place in Dayton, Ohio March 18-19. Second and third-round action will take place in eight cities across the United States, including Buffalo, March 20-23. Canisius, Niagara and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will be serving as the hosts for the second and third-round games in First Niagara Center, where games will be played March 20 and 22.

This marks the fifth time since 2000 that Buffalo has been selected as a host city for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. All four previous events have sold out. Since the 2000 tournament, two schools (West Virginia and Connecticut) started its run toward the Final Four in Buffalo. The UConn team that played its first and second round games in First Niagara Center in 2004 eventually went on to win the National Championship.

Anaheim will serve as the West Regional site and Memphis will host the South Regional on Thursday and Saturday, March 27 and 29. Indianapolis will be the site for the Midwest Regional Friday and Sunday, March 28 and 30, and Madison Square Garden in New York City will host tournament action for the first time in 1961, when it plays host to the East Regional March 28 and 30.

The 76th Men’s Final Four will be hosted by North Texas April 5 and 7.
