The Canisius College men's basketball team returns home for the first time in 25 days tomorrow night when the Golden Griffins play host to Saint Peter's in the Koessler Athletic Center. All Canisius students will receive free burgers and Frosty's, compliments of Wendy's.

• Canisius opens the MAAC portion of its 2013-14 schedule tonight when the team plays host to Saint Peter’s in the Koessler Athletic Center.
• This game will mark the first home contest for the Golden Griffins in the last 25 days. Canisius is 13-4 in its 17 home games under second-year head coach Jim Baron.
• Canisius is coming off an 83-69 loss to Metro State Nov. 26 in the final game of the 2013 NIT Season Tip Off. Metro State is currently the No. 1 ranked team at the NCAA Division II level.
• The Griffs went 2-2 in the NIT Season Tip Off this season, defeating Elon and Georgia State, while falling to Rutgers and Metro State. All-time, Canisius is 3-3 in its six NIT Season Tip Off contests, including the team’s participation in the 1994-95 event.

• The Griffs come into tonight’s game with a 3-3 overall record. This marks the fifth time since 2003-04 that Canisius is .500 or better through the first six games of the season.
• Canisius is starting its 25th year in the MAAC with this game tonight against Saint Peter’s. The Griffs are 10-14 all-time in the MAAC opener since 1989-90.
• Senior guard Billy Baron leads the team and ranks third in the MAAC with his 21.5 points per game. That scoring average ranks 31st in the nation (as of Dec. 2).
• Fellow senior Chris Perez ranks second on the team and is tied for 17th in the league with his 13.0 points per game. Canisius is one of five teams in the MAAC to currently have two or more players averaging better than 12.5 points per game.

• Saint Peter’s comes into tonight’s MAAC opener with a 2-4 overall record.
• The Peacocks lost to Boston University Nov. 30, by the score of 66-65. That loss snapped the team’s two-game winning streak.
• Redshirt junior Marvin Dominique leads the Peacocks in scoring and rebounding average with 18.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Dominique sat out last season after transferring from Fordham.
• Senior Desi Washington is good for 11.7 points per game, while fellow guard Trevis Wyche leads Saint Peter’s with 3.7 assists per game, which ranks fifth in the MAAC.

• This will be the 70th all-time meeting between these two Jesuit schools, with Canisius holding a 38-31 lead in the series.
• Canisius defeated Saint Peter’s 77-65 in overtime the last time these two teams played Feb. 28, 2013.
• Canisius is 18-14 all-time against Saint Peter’s in the Koessler Athletic Center, but the Peacocks have won four of their last six games inside the Koessler Athletic Center.
