Nine members of the Canisius College rowing team were named to the MAAC All-Academic Team, as announced by the conference on Friday evening. The selected Griffs were honored for their success in the boat and in the classroom.
Receiving the conference honor were seniors Hillary Hamp and Bridget Wodowski, juniors Michelle Bittner, Jordan Hagenbuch, Katie Riley, Samantha Robinson, and Jennifer Williams, and sophomores Alexandria Dickinson and Nancy Kennish.
In their first year of competition as a varsity program in the MAAC, the Griffs ranked second among a total of ten institutions with nine recipients honored. Marist held the most rowers named to the conference team with 14.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.
