The Canisius diving program will take part in the Zone A Diving Championships Monday afternoon from Virginia Tech, beginning with the women’s 3M diving preliminary at noon.

Sophomore Vivian Mroz will compete in the preliminary event, with six dives, and will take part in the Championship later in the afternoon if qualifying.

Senior Brent Carbone and junior Travis Wright will dive in the men’s 1M preliminary following the women’s 3M, with the men’s final also being held Monday.

Tuesday afternoon, Mroz will move to the women’s 1M preliminary, before Carbone and Wright take part in the 3M event.

The Griffs set four school record this season, Wright in the one and three meter, and Mroz in the one and three meter.

Wright also won two individual diving titles in the one and three meter events at the 2017 MAAC Championships, being named MAAC Diver of the Year.

The Zone A Championships can be followed here or on the Griffs twitter account @griffs_diving.
