Jeff Lee
Head Coach

In July 2007, Jeff Lee was named the head strength and conditioning coach at Canisius College. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of the strength training and conditioning programs for the school’s 16 intercollegiate teams.

Lee joined the Canisius staff after serving a two-year stint as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at Yale University.  There, the 26-year old Lee worked with 11 of the Bulldogs’ varsity teams and served as the primary strength and conditioning coach for the men’s and women’s ice hockey teams. He was responsible for designing and implementing speed, strength and conditioning programs for the hockey teams, while also overseeing the department’s student work-study staff.

 

Prior to his time at Yale, Lee was an assistant at The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. He worked primarily with the school’s men’s basketball program as he earned his master’s degree in exercise science.  He also worked at the United States Olympic Education Center in Marquette, Mich., where he developed and implemented Olympic-based strength training for 23 elite amateur boxers.

 

Lee received his undergraduate degree in physical education from Western Illinois in 2003.  A member of National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, he started his career as an intern at Binghamton University in August 2003.

 

Lee and his wife Ashley, were married July 27, 2007.  The couple currently resides in Buffalo.

 Keith Vinci 
Assistant Coach

Keith Vinci joined the staff at Canisius College in August 2007 as graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach.  He came to Buffalo after working at the World Instructor Training School, where he was as a course instructor for personal training certification courses at Housatonic Community College in Bridgeport, Conn. He also worked as an intern on the strength and conditioning staff at Binghamton University in 2006. 

Vinci earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science and human performance from Southern Connecticut State in 2006. During his time at Southern Connecicut State, he spent two seasons assisting the Owls' volleyball staff with game and practice plans, as well as the program's summer strength and conditioning workouts. A member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Vinci served in the United State Marine Corps from 1995-2003, where he acted as a small arms and combat swim instructor, while also heading up his company's remedial physical training program.
